The shift to smaller vehicles is likely to be further encouraged by a government “cash-for-clunkers” program offering customers cash vouchers of up to $4,500 to trade in old vehicles. Customers buying substantially more fuel-efficient models would benefit the most under the bill being hammered out in Congress.

Faster, harder, stronger! The Nissan-Motivity 400C Sport Cars Concept by Tryi Yeh. The 400C has the Maglev engine system in each tire, making it quite floaty and speedy. The 400C has a wild, new triangle shape that reduces drag, while the driver seat controls retain their classic build. It is the latest creation of the brilliant visor and stunning feature characteristics from the side of Nissan by Tryi Yeh. But spreading his periphery, the Taiwanese designer has designed a car that takes you straight into the future.
Maglev, or magnetic levitation has been hailed as the future of high speed transportation since long, but the idea is predominantly based on trains. With the Motivity 400-C design proposal, designer Tryi Yeh intends to bring magnetic levitation from train tracks to roads.

This concept car uses maglev motor system that has made it even stronger with each deck, which allows great control, functionality and style. The triangle-shaped bode this car reduces drag of air, therefore, this car offers better acceleration and is able to save more power. A little more info on the Maglev concept: The use of the physical properties of magnetic fields generated by superconducting magnets to cause an object (as a vehicle) to float above a solid surface. Merriam Webster Dictionary ; This method has the potential to be faster, quieter and smoother than wheeled mass transit systems. The technology has the potential to exceed 4,000 mph (6,400 km/h) if deployed in an evacuated tunnel.

Nissan 370Z, 2009
The new Nissan 370Z sports a shorter wheelbase, greater use of lightweight body materials, new engine with more horsepower and a new 7-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, as well as the world's first synchronized down/up shift rev control system for the manual transmission.

The 2009 370Z's dynamic new styling offers dual benefits - a more aggressive appearance and a lighter, tighter structure for enhanced performance. The new Z's wheelbase is nearly 100mm shorter than the previous generation Nissan 350Z (2550mm versus 2650mm), accomplished by moving the rear wheels forward in the 2nd generation FM platform, while overall length is reduced by 70mm (4250mm versus 4320mm). At the same time, the overall width been increased by 33mm and the rear track by 55mm.
The more compact exterior dimensions and expanded use of lightweight materials help reduce weight, while at the same time the body structure has been extensively reinforced, improving rigidity.
Along with its new structure and stance, the Nissan 370Z has a taut new skin - one that looks completely new, yet completely Z. The exterior design incorporates intentional 240Z styling cues, a sleek aerodynamic shape, a "dynamic motion" feel with a dramatic cantilevered roof (with Nissan GT-R styling cues) and a "low visual gravity."
The 370Z's sleek silhouette is defined by its upswept quarter window design that is echoed by the dynamic upward curvature in the lower rocker panel and the sense of the taut sheet metal molding itself around the wheels and frame. Attention to detail and functionality is evident throughout the exterior design, including the addition of a turn indicator integrated into the Z logo mounted between the front wheel and door.
The Nissan 370Z Interior:
putting the driver at the heart of the action
The interior design of the new Nissan 370Z continues the Z tradition of enhancing driving pleasure, no matter what the road or traffic conditions offer. Additionally, particular attention has been paid to the quality of the material, as well as the fit and finish.
The traditional 2-seat layout is built around a deeply scooped instrument panel with a full-length centre console separating the driver and passenger's seat. In the rear is an open luggage area with enhanced storage and accessibility.
The information layer provides enhanced visibility with easy access to all key data. The gauges are once again attached to the steering column, so the driver doesn't have to choose between the perfect steering wheel position and visibility of the gauges.

Life on board has been improved thanks to the addition of an engine start and stop button, larger diameter dials and thanks to the use of premium-feel material on seats, armrest and door trims (depending on grade).
3.7-litre engine: the Z's heart and soul
As its new moniker suggests, the new Nissan 370Z is now powered by a 3.7-litre VQ37VHR engine with VVEL (Variable Valve Event and Lift). Along with its larger displacement, the new engine gives better power delivery all the way to the 7,000 rpm redline, improved low-end power and more high-end torque, creating an entirely new driving experience. Approximately 35 percent of the engine's parts are new, versus the previous design. Power is rated at 331PS, while torque is 366Nm. Engine output, figures for Europe are subject to homologation.

The Altima is a midsize sedan and coupe and Nissan's best-selling car. The Nissan Altima was first introduced in 1992, replacing the Stanza for the 1993 model year. A totally redesigned, second-generation Altima was introduced for the 1998 model year. The larger third-generation Nissan Altima went on sale for the 2002 model year, and for 2005 the Altima received additional interior and exterior upgrades. For 2007 an all-new fourth-generation Altima arrived with distinctive styling and is built on the new Nissan “D” platform with improved body rigidity and a redesigned suspension. The 350Z is Nissan’s modern recreation of the legendary Z-car, with styling cues from the original 240Z of the 1970s. The 300ZX was last sold in 1996 and the 350Z coupe debuted for the 2003 model year with the Roadster joining the lineup for 2004. For 2006 the 350Z received its first update with a restyled exterior and a refined interior. For 2007, the NISMO 350Z was added to the lineup.
The Maxima is Nissan’s flagship sedan that receives a redesigned exterior, refined interior and a standard CVT transmission for 2007. The sixth-generation midsize sport sedan last received a significant redesign for the 2004 model year with new styling and an increase in performance. The Maxima originally joined the Nissan lineup for the 1981 model year as a rear-wheel-drive sedan and received a V6 engine for the first time in 1984 before the second-generation Maxima switched to a front-wheel-drive configuration. Nissan has referred to the Maxima over the years as a "4-door sports car."
The Versa is a 5-door entry-level subcompact hatchback that replaces the Sentra as the most affordable vehicle in the Nissan lineup. Built on Nissan’s “B” platform, the Versa name reflects the “versatile space” provided by the roomy interior and cargo area. Introduced as a 2007 model in 2006, a sedan version was available in late 2006.
The Sentra is Nissan’s entry-level sedan that was originally introduced in 1985. The fifth-generation Sentra offered value-conscious trims with unique style and feel, as well as performance-oriented trims. For 2007 the sixth-generation Sentra is completely designed and built on the new “C” platform featuring a longer, wider, and taller body. With looks that’s similar to the full-size Maxima on the outside, the interior is more spacious and the all-new 2.0-liter MR20DE engine has more horsepower. However the SE-R and the SE-R Spec V continues with the refined QR25DE 4-cylinder engine that produces 177 horsepower and 200 horsepower, respectively.
